I don't have much experience with them, but I would probably just say "you're invited to a diaper shower" and maybe make the "diaper shower" part bold. I'm not sure if there is a good way to word it saying that guests cannot bring other gifts, because well... if someone decides to buy a different type of gift on top of diapers you can't really control that. But then again, maybe someone out there has a good way of saying that.. If there is a diaper registry I would include that on the invitation too.

Please don't do that...it is insulting. Unless you are sending invites to a class of 2nd graders.
Diaper showers usually don't go over too well on this board...
i wonder why? i think it's a nice idea for someone wanting to give the gift of a shower to a 2nd or more-time mom who doesn't need much. hm, oh well:)
to the OP, i wish i had some advice on how to word it for you. i guess you could google it or maybe look on baby shower sites? i know i've found diaper shaped invites, that might help. good luck~

probably because second showers and showers where you request guests to bring a certain item are pretty much against etiquette rules.
When I got married women would have bridal showers that were specific, i.e. "kitchen shower", "linen shower", etc. I don't see a problem with a diaper shower personally, especially for a 2nd time mom that didn't need a lot of other things. Mom-to-be will still get some clothes even if they don't know if the baby is a girl or boy (at least that has been my experience).

Agree with this. Also, what do you do with all the diapers you decide you don't like? We received diapers from a few friends in with shower gifts and most of them did not work for DS. We ended up donating them to the nursery at church. Maybe a gift card shower would be better? (J/K!!)
this site has the most stuck up ppl I have ever seen, I think I will stick w/ BabyCenter.com...I have never seen so many ppl stuck on etiquette like this site, F* ettiquette, every baby is a miracle, every baby should be celebrated, and Diaper showers are not tacky...I think it's a great way to get ppl together to celebrate the new baby, and help the parents out with something they REALLY need. When you have more than one kid diapers aren't cheap...Why not give the parents something that would actually help them out instead of something useless like a wipe warmer or a outfit that isn't even in the right season for the age of your baby. Seriously ppl, if you think a second or third shower is rude, and against ettiquete, then maybe your just bitter, and selfish, and can't stand that no one did it for you!
There is going to be a diaper shower for my fourth baby, (OMG< SOO against ettiquette...lol) And the wording I was thinking of is:
Tori, Camy and Liam are sharing their toys & clothes, But diapers? We didn't keep those! Please join us for a Diaper Shower
