Bwah ha! Love it! My husband has a whole back story for him. He used to be a pirate (pillaging, looting, etc.) but has since reformed his ways. People often look at him like he's crazy (sometimes I do, too!).

I think I should post something here. I've been lurking for quite awhile.
My husband and I have been TTC since May 2010. I have long cycles which has been our difficulty. (5 cycles in 8 months.) It also doesn't help that 35 is quickly looming for me in 3 months. I've had blood work done, which is all normal, and I've been charting for 5 months. My ob said if I don't conceive this month she'll put me on Clomid. So I hope to get to know you all a little better and get a BFP soon!
BTW, this last cycle I started using OPKs. I didn't get a positive until the day I O'd. Is that normal? I thought the point of OPKs was to give you some kind of notice.
9/10 and 1/11 Normal blood work
2/11 50 mg Clomid = BFN
4/11 50 mg Clomid = BFN
5/11 100 mg Clomid = BFN
6/11 2.5 mg Femara = BFN
7/11 2.5 mg Femara = BFN
SA normal and HSG all clear
11/11 14 HMG shots with HCG trigger = BFN
12/11 Femara + HMG = BFP!!

Below is DH and I at our furbaby's puppy school graduation. While not as awesome as Capt. Theodore McPuppy --- her full name is Tessa Jane Eliza Antoinette. However she answers to Tessa Jane...or Monster. She has more than doubled in size since this picture was taken in August.

I'm being a dirty lurker, but I wanted to answer this question. You can geta a +OPK 12-24 hours before ovulating, so you probably ovulated closer to the 12 hour range. Hopefully you're charting CM as well. In theory, that should give you some notice. If you end up TTC for more than 3 cycles, you'll probably start to see a pattern. Good luck.

I don't post often and have been mostly lurking to figure all of this TTC stuff out since I am brand new to it. I would, however, like to get to know you ladies better since I have the distinct impression this might be a long road ahead of me.
