Baby Girl's HB was usually between 140-150 and my OB said she can usually see a correlation between HB and gender, but always laughed because her HB was right on the line. The highest it ever was was 170 and lowest was 130.
My baby's heartrate at the anatomy scan was 143 - but at prior visits it had been in the 130s. I voted that the wives tale was correct, but mine was going both ways so it's hard to say for sure!

Re: BPM & gender??! Was your gender prediction correct?
Several studies have shown that there is no correlation.
I had one of each - at 8 weeks, Cole was 137, Owen was 171.
At the 20 week, Owen had dropped to 156.
the BPM have never been under 140...always between 145-160 and I am having a boy!
I thought the break-even point was 150?
Normal= 120-180... so middle would be 150. No?
