PG Friends Baby Boy Name...Opinions

My long time friend is PG with her 4th kiddo.

Her kids names are : Alexis, Kara, and Jaren.

She told me today they are considering Trey Arlen

What do you all think of the name?

Alexis is nms, but okay.

I like Kara.

Jaren seems like they meant Jared but misspelled it.

Trey is nms at all, and Arlen makes me think of King of the Hill (Arlen Texas).

Jaren, there oldest Alexis actually named him, they were thinking about Jared, and she said I like "jaren" trying to say "jared" so they went with it.

Didn't even think about Arlen Texas..Trey is nms either.

Around 4pm I didn't hear anything, so I called again and left a vmail for the nurse again..and didn't get anything back, and there office closed at 5. Sad

So, now I have to wait until Monday..lamesauce.

Not that any child would know this.....but Trey is the name of Charlotte's EX on Sex and The City who couldn't get it up!!!! Sorry that is what I thinka bout everytime I hear that name!

Also, IMO it's pointless to comment on names already given to the kids. Trey is NMS but DH's cousin has a boyfriend with that name. The name is not uncommon or strange sounding or with a weird spelling so I really have no opinion on it.

I actually like Trey. Friends of ours just had a Stephen Soemthing III and I think they are going to call him Trey for III.

i did watch SATC so i know trey from there but i also think of tray from the sookie stackhouse books. i actually like the name (spelled trey) buy my dh said no to it for any future ds's.

Personally I don't think it makes sense to name a child Trey if they aren't John Doe the third. Trey is more of a nickname. Just my opinion.

I know a Jaron so that name brings that association to mind (it's not bad, but he was somewhat of a weird character) and I don't mind the name Trey. My brother-in-laws name is Arlen so that's the person who comes to mind with that name. All in all, Trey Arlen sounds good together so I don't think it's that bad of a name.
