I was wondering if there is such a thing as a cover for the seat of the carseat. I'm anticipating accidents, and also with a baby during the summer I've heard the carseats can make baby sweaty/uncomfortable. Has anyone seen a carseat cover? I specifically have Chicco Keyfit 30.
Re: Seat cover for infant car seat
Yes they do, and some super cute ones too!

I've never heard that before, why not?
It's a safety thing, and most manufacturers will void the warranty if you don't use the seat the way it's intended. Also, those seat protectors for cars should not be used.
The government apparently only regulates the LATCH systems for seats and not infant seat accessories.
I answered my own question, but in case anyone else is looking for this as well, from the chicco website there are some approved covers that won't "void the warranty."

To answer the OP- Any cover is going to make baby sweaty. Skin in contact with fabric does that.

This.
Also, car seat covers are washable (the one that comes. on the plastic "frame" as part of the seat). So you don't need to worry about accidents because you can take the cover off and wash it anyway.
It is sad that people go on and make these things when it voids the warranty of the carseat.
when your in an accident and the carseat fails and you have no warranty because you put a cute cover on it you're (general you) are going to wish you didn't put it on.
