I am so sorry. I know first-hand how hard it is to give up a baby, but you really can't let emotion get in the way of doing what's best for the child. Oh my gosh. How awful. My sincerest condolences to your friend...

Oh no! What a nightmare! Didn't you say this had happened to her before?
Yes. More than a year ago. I don't know how far it got last time. I feel like the adoption counselors were way too optimistic about the adoption going through this time.
I just have a pit in my stomach thinking about how much pain they must be in right now.
That is heartbreaking news. There is too much of this type of thing that goes along with the process. The system works beautifully most of the time, but when it doesn't... just awful.
That's so so sad. I can't even imagine the pain. My heart goes out to your friend and I hope that baby does OK with his birth parents, poor little one, I feel sorry for him/her too.
Me: 44 DH: 42.

My friend too. This was her biggest fear and it consumed her at times. Luckily my friend's baby's birth mom never looked back after delivering.
How horrible. I'm so sorry, I can't imagine being in that much pain. I'm heartbroken for her.
DD#1 - January 2008
DD#2 - September 2010
that would be devastating. I hope your friend finds comfort soon. I'm sad just hearing about it
I am so sorry for your friend and her DH. How gut-wrenching.
