I use one of those 2 drawer filing cabinet things they sell at walmart/target in the office section. They're rubbermaid plastic, cheap and can hold up to a lot of child abuse. If it gets ruined, no big deal.
I'm planning on using it for arts and craft storage once he's out of diapers.
I have one of these drawer things and I have a drawer for night-time diapers, regular diapers and wipes. The drawers don't open super easy, so he leaves them alone. Cheap, and we'll be able to use them for a long time. I have several of these actually.
DD has a changing table and on the shelf below the pad I have 3 baskets. Left to right - misc stuff, cloth diapers, disposable diapers. She takes out a diaper (from either basket) and asks for a change, or diapers her doll. I am fine with it. Wipes are on the top of the changing table in a standard wipes box.

BIL gave us this beautiful fabric-type box that was filled with clothing when DD was born, and now I stack the diapers in there. I just put the wipes beside it on the changing table.

I always change her in the living room (we have a ranch). I put the wipes and diapers in the entertainment center and there's a childproof lock on the door. Works like a charm so far.
We have her changing pad on top of her dresser, the diapers stacked in a diaper stacker hanging next to the dresser and the wipes and other misc stuff in a caddy next to the changing pad.
