How reliable are the people on Care.com?

Anyone ever go through Care.com? DH and i have had plans for over a month to go out with friends tomorrow night and hate to cancel. DH and i have been looking forward to this for so long. Our regular babysitter is sick and cant babysit. I need one quick.. is this site reliable?

    We found our sitter on care.com.  I interviewed her in a public place and paid to get a background check on her.  She is very reliable.

    We found our two dog sitters on there- I don't know if I would be ready to leave DD with someone on there if I hadn't really meant them a few times and looked into their background.

    I had good luck and friends that used sittercity.com.  Just another idea.
