Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Recommend your swing

I bought the Cosco Jungle Harmony Swing from Wal-Mart (https://www.walmart.com/ip/Cosco-Gentle-Motion-Swing-Jungle-Harmony/12960807) about a week before LO was born. I had picked it out online and it was only $45 but it wasn't available for purchase online. I really didn't do any "research" on it, it was just cheap and we didn't want to spend alot of money on one and LO not even like it. So after my last shower we went to Wal-Mart to spend our gift cards and we just bought it in store, but it ended up being $60. We weren't really happy about the price but decided to go ahead and get it anyways. It was battery operated and a month after LO was born it started to get really slow and eventually died so I replaced the batteries. The next day he was I put him in it turned around to sit down and looked back at him and it was still. So I walked back over to it and turned it on again and it did the same thing. So anyways, some days it would work some days it wouldn't even with new batteries. We had of course already threw away the box but I still took it back to Wal-Mart today and they just gave us a gift card. I have got to get another swing for LO because he loved his! Any suggestions?? I would rather have one that wasn't battery operated, but I am open to anything.

TIA =)

    Different pattern, but :shrug:  It is, however, battery operated.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

  • We have the Graco Lovin' Hug.  It is battery operated and it plugs in.  The sounds are really awesome too, lots of different white noise and heartbeat sounds.  Pretty music, too.

    I love it.

  • We have the MamaRoo and love it.  It's corded though and not as portable as other swings if that's important to you.  LO will sleep in there for hours.

  • My parents' neighbors gave them the Fisher Price swing that has light projection/stars & nice lullaby music. My little one LOVES it...the music is so gentle & she just stares up at the lights & coos. I want it for our home but grandma & Granpa love it that they have something that LO just loves.
    Me: 42, DH: 43. We are so grateful to have a 2yr old daughter, conceived naturally after 3 miscarriages & no treatments (our Dr. gave us 1 more month to try on our own before advacing to IVF, & we conceived her naturally in January 2010)! Trying since April 2011 without sucess....MD said we were both "fine" & that if it wasn't happening, it was a chromosomal issue. Finally started Follistim 225mcg injections with an Ovidrel trigger November 2012. Bleeding 11 days post Ovidrel on November 25th. Starting the whole lab/Ultrasound/Follistim cycle again on November 27th...
  • Fisher Price jsut came out with a new cradle swing called the Snuggabunny. I checked it out at BRU the other day and it's awesome. It plugs in too. We have the My Little Lamb Cradle Swing and LO loves it. I think we are going to get the Snuggabunny for upstairs.

  • We have the FP Little Lamb Cradle Swing and LO loves it.  He slept for 6 hours straight for the first time ever in the swing last night (just laying in the cradle, not with the swing on).  We have gone through two sets of batteries and he is only 7.5 weeks old but it is worth it to me.
  • I have the fisher price space saver swing.  DD loves it!  It's not too expensive either compared to some of the others out there.  GL
