Stupid people

I just got home from my class on injections and I think I'm more confused than when I went in. I get there and they are looking at me like I don't belong. So to make it a little better I say "I'm just here for an injection class". She goes "I have no record of this" throwing a little bit of attitude (now were all from jersey so attitude can go both ways). So I'm starting to get a little upset. They have me sit down and I hear them talking, " oh it's there but it didn't make it on the schedule", then I hear "when is the egg retrival? Feb 1. Oh well she missed the boat anyway" the doctor says "no, she's on the bcp's". Anyway I don't know where this nurse gets off giving me attitude like that, I didn't do anything wrong. So the doctor that is new to the practice does the class with me and I think I get the general gist of it but I'm not sure which sized needles to use which meds, oh well, all I need to know between now and the next time I go back is lupron 10 mg everyday until I go back. For my reward of not yelling at them for being mean, I had a lovely sushi lunch!! Why is it so hard for people to their jobs, this is very scary for me, try reassuring me instead of being mean. Also, I thought I've been pretty good about not complaining recently.

    I'm so sorry this happened. I think sometimes that people immersed in whatever world they work in assume we also know something about their world.

    What a douche!! I'm sorry they weren't compassionate to you. Don't they know where they are working???

    On a side note, i'm very jealous of your sushi lunch! Mmmm I've been craving sushi a lot lately.

    That sucks.  Glad it worked out and you got to do the class though.  If you need a refresher Freedom Fertility has video instructions for all of the meds on their website.  It's so overwhelming with all of those meds and needles and deciding where you need to stick yourself.  I was always so afraid that I was doing it wrong.

    That is so rude. I'm sorry. It's not like it takes that much of their precious time to explain the injections to you so you understand what to do. Geez.

I will look at see what paperwork I have left from my injection class (it was a few years ago and not sure if I threw it out when I moved) I also have a website my RE gave me I can send you that shows you how to do the shots and all about them.

    That's really sweet of you but I think the site that RJ suggested listed it all pretty well. Thank you! Plus if I have a question I have no problem asking them and I will make them make the time for me.

    No excuse for that. My nurses are from jersey too and never do I get attitude even when I've done something wrong or ask a stupid question!

    *hugs*  I'm sorry she was such a twatwaffle.  I probably would have been the b!tch who told her that she could tell me how to to do things while being professional and pleasant, or I would use her for injection practice.

    I was going to suggest this site too! My RE has online classes for everything, including injectables, and they link to that site. I'm sorry they were so rude to you.

    Oh wow - that is terrible!!!  I can't believe that they treated you that way!!  I mean of course you are scared - all of this is new and so important!!  I am dreading my injects class.  It is on the 20th and at 7 am, not exactly my best time of day for paying close attention. 

    If you have any questions I would call them and demand that they get you in to help you. 

    I am sure that you will do just fine though and that everything will go perfectly.

    Sorry for your dealings with stupid people.  I am proud of you for practicing self control.  Are you sure we don't go to the same RE?  Sounds so familiar to me:)
