My baby is almost 4 months and my hair has just recently starting falling out in clumps. I have heard of this happening, but anything I can do to stop it?
It's normal, it's baby hair, and more hair will grow back
It's usually accompanied by cradle cap, at least that's how I see it in my DS. His hair comes out with the dandruff, and now he has this fuzzy hair left over instead of the thick head of hair he was born with.
I don't think it's anything to worry about!

AFAIK, there's nothing you can do as he/she is probably just growing in their permanent hair. My kiddo was born with tons of hair, but it's definitely thinning as I see his bald spots starting to fill in.
Yeah, that's also normal, a lot of women post-pregnancy lose their hair, especially if they are breastfeeding around that time. There's not much you can do, just try to have a hair-healthy(?) diet - olive oil, avocado, nuts...etc. It'll grow back, it's just the fluctuation in hormones.

Its probably nothing to worry about because hair volume can increase while pregnant because of hormones. Then once you have the baby that extra hair falls out. I find if you can use less products and styling tools it will slow down the loss.

My hair fell out a lot after DS1 for about a month. It was mostly at the temples and so much fell out that I actually had a thin spot. The hair grew back in and it was just short baby hairs for awhile.
My hairdresser warned me about this when we were both pregnant. She has seen it for years in new mothers. She had her first baby in June and experienced it for herself a couple of months later. I saw her yesterday ( 2 wks pp) and mine is still intact for now but will probably thin in a couple of months. Wah!
It happens and is normal! If it gets ridiculous, your OB can check your
thyroid levels. My sister lost hers on the top so badly she had a bald
spot. Mine just started at the 12 week post-partum mark (a couple days
ago). I hope it doesn't get too bad!

Your hair falling out now is completely normal...it's becuase it DIDN'T fall out as much while you were pregnant. The average person looses 40-100 strands of hair daily. When you are pregnant, your body wants to "hold on" to as many resources as it can....so it changes the cycle of normal hair loss. Your body now is just making up for all those strands it didn't drop before. It will stop around 7-9 months PP.
