W. Plano Daycare (either In-home or center)

I am due in June with my first LO and I am fairly new to TX.  What does day run per week for a new born in this area and is there going to be most likely a wait list?

For a decent day care center you are looking at $200 or a little more a week. Most of the centers do have a 4 to 6 month waiting list so I recommend looking early. I worked at TLC development center (which has 3 locations near the area you are talking about). I would not recommend them. There is a chain called Kids R Kids and their program is really good. HTH.

I found that in-home daycare was a little cheaper than a large day-care center.  I was all for a large center, but after meeting with several in-home providers, I changed my mind.  We started interviewing about 2 months before I was due (knowing that I'd be on maternity leave for about 12 weeks before needing care).  Everyone had space at that point.

Try mamapedia's local boards also... those are pretty active all the time.
