Okay...I forgot to weigh myself so I'll edit and add it this evening. I will say that I have made an attempt to drink more water this week and monitor my portions...I have not exercised at all

but have committed myself to getting on the elliptical at least twice this weekend.
Re: Weight Loss Check In!!!!!
I haven't exercised either, but being back at work helps. I'm not as sedentary as I would be at home and I really don't snack at work.
Should we all say what our goals are? Just to have it in writing?
I've gained a LOT of weight since my wedding. I'm about the same weight as before James was born, but its moved all over the place (like my fat face). So while I'd like to be back to my wedding weight by my birthday/anniversary (July)...how about I say I'd like to be down 15lbs by then.
Unfortunatly, nothing good came out of weight loss this week. I weighed this morning and the scale hasn't budged. I watched my portions, but that's about all I did this week. I know I need to exercise, but I just really need some motivation. Plus, when I get home and finally get to play with Miller that's all I wanna do and exercising goes by the way-side.
I'm gonna go and get the Biggest Loser Wii game and start doing that. Im hoping that it'll be challenging and fun at the same time and keep me coming back, (I get burned out easily) So this weekend I plan to start the Biggest Loser Wii workout and really sit down and focus on my diet.
I really think my body has become accostumed to the things I eat, i.e everyday at lunch I eat a smart ones/lean cuisine, etc. Plus I never eat breakfast so I think my body is used to that. I'm thinking that my goal for next week will be to eat breakfast everyday and do my Wii Biggest Loser at least 3X next week.
I've gained a lot of weight everywhere since I've had Miller and it's spread out all over the place. I would like to be down 50lbs by Miller's first bday (July) I don't think that's to bad or unreasonable, there's no reason why losing 8-10lbs in 1 month should be difficult, thus I've got 7 months to do it.
I never really weighed before today, so I have nothing to go on...except that this week wasn't much different than the last few. We have GOT to get the Christmas candy out of the house!
I am just going to count today's weight as my starting. I am going to let my friend's July wedding be my goal deadline. I put that date in Sparkpeople, and it said I could lose 57 lbs by then (knowing me...HA!). I am going to shoot for 30 lbs by July 30th
Is there a way to make a list (maybe something like the bump list?) to keep up with everyone's goals and progress along the way? That may be a silly idea but it just popped into my head. Seems like July is a good month for a goal date for a few of us...
Today was the first time I've weighed in a few weeks and I was pleasantly suprised even though it could've been more if I had worked out any this week. I was down a few pounds from the last weigh-in and I'm one pound away from the number I've desparately been trying to get under since I had Mitchell.
Oh what the heck, you ladies are being coy and shy, and I understand that. Not everyone feels comfortalbe sharing their weight - but now I'm desparate and I'm hoping a little embarassment will go a long way towards my motivation!! I weigh 150 on the dot. I'm about 5'2" so losing 20 pounds would put me at the top of my "healthy" weight range (according to standard guidelines) so that's my goal. I'd like to lose 5 pounds by this time next month.
Currently I do Zumba once a week and Turbo Jam dvds at least 3 times a week. One of the dvd's concentrates on strength and resistance exercises to help turn fat into muscle. So that's my tip for the week! When you first start doing it you may see an initial weight gain or no loss, but that's because muscle is heavier than fat - but it makes you lean!! Try to add some type of weight/resistance training to your regimine if you haven't already.
I wanna wish everyone good luck with your goals. I think this will be good for us!
Lastly I wanted say that Jennifer Hudson's new WW commercial makes me want to go out and run 3 miles every time it comes on. OMG, wow!! A good friend of mine likes to say "she's back down to her high school weight!! lol". I was a stick figure in high school, so I don't want to go there - but still, there's some motivation!
That's a great idea!! Maybe a list every Fri will help keep everyone motivated.
Also, can you email me the excel spreadsheet you made, kaycee0721@yahoo.com
I wanna join you ladies. I really need the motivation.
First I'll give ya'll a little back ground. My family has always struggled with weight issues. For the most part, everyone on my moms side of the family is morbidly obese (or at least untill they had the gastric bypass). In high school I always hovered around 135. Which of course then I though I was fat around all of my size 2 and 4 friends. Now I realize I was no where near "fat". Since my wedding I've gained about 25 pounds. Some of that is baby weight. I weighed myself today. I'm going to go ahead post the embarresing part, I'm 5'1ish and as of today I weigh 165. I'm going to New York in April with some girl friends. I would absolutely love to lose at least 20 pounds by then. My biggest problem is that I really need to start excersing and eating better. I use to love walking and going to the gym but it's hard to find the time now. I am also the worlds worst eater. I have never been a big veggie eater. I really want to change that. For my sake and I want to be a good role model for Bri. Hopefully you girls will keep me motivated and on the right path.
Well my good intentions this week didn't really get to happen since I had a sick baby this past weekend and I have had a sick hubby since Tuesday. My problem isn't necessarily the eating, unless I am bored and then I seem to nibble. Since becoming a SAHM I am a lot more sedentary than I was when I was working. It's getting a little better now that Aubrey is moving about but I need to exercise more plain and simple.
The scale was down a little over a pound since Sunday(I have one of those scales that gives you the tenth of a point) and I mainly attribute that to the fact that the one thing I did succeed in this week was giving up cokes.
So my overall goal is to lose 50lbs. I want to exercise at least 4 days a week. I got Just Dance 2 for the Wii for Christmas and I have heard it's a workout in itself...so I am planning on breaking it open this weekend. I've been considering getting the 30 Day Shred...has anyone else tried it?
I'm also going to start my pilates back. That's more or less for me to regain some flexibility. I feel so stiff lately. I would love to do Zumba, but I am not sure if I am ready to try a class out. I have heard there is a Zumba workout video...I wonder if it is any good?
my scales at home say i'm down ~3 lbs, but the dr's scales were what i weighed last week at home so I don't know if they are heavier or not....I'm sticking with my home scale since they haven't been changed.
I haven't been exercising just water, and watching what I eat
