When DS was 3 weeks old my BF came up from Texas to visit for a couple of days. She told me that she picked a song for each of her kids when they were born and would sing it to them to calm them and it still worked on here 3 year old. I started singing You are my Sunshine to DS that weekend whenever he was fussy. A couple nights ago he was crying and I started to sing it to him and he stopped immediately and started smiling. It made me so happy that I started to cry.
Do you have a trick or a special way to calm your DC?

We do the same song! After singing it zillions of times, I added another verse to it that I made up. I sing it to DD in the morning with her bottle when she is all relaxed and cuddly and whenever I sing it during her fussy times, she definitely calms down. I love it.
