Harrison absolutely hates being changed in a public restroom (especially if it is only one room and not carpeted). I think it's the echo in there and if someone flushes a toilet, oh boy.
My son just started freaking out when I change him in a public restroom. My friend said her kids were the same way and she thinks it's because they think they're falling. This makes sense b/c we usually change him on the floor so just the fact that he's higher up scares him.
On a side note, my 6 year old still hates the automatic flush toilets. She's finally getting better about them but most of the time, I have to put my hand over the sensor until she's done. She also hates hand dryers and anything else that is really loud. Such a pain sometimes.
YES! My DD tenses right up the whole time we are in there, and cries if any toilets are flushed. I have been known to not flush just to escape a melt down.
YES! As soon as DD is on the table she starts to scream her head off. I don't think it is the height because we change DD on a changing table at home and she is fine. This is this only time she screams like that too.
