Should I consider this shady? (Seed related)

I got a couple things of those Buzzy seed kits for Christmas last year. I sent them an email asking who their seed supplier is and their reply was "

Good morning,

I sorry, but we do not release that kind of information. Thank you and have a wonderful day."

Should I guess that they are Monsanto? :-P

I have seeds from Ferry Morse and Buzzy. I'd like to support those smaller seed suppliers if I can but it doesn't help if they can't tell me that they get their seeds from Semenis or not.

Done. Very diplomatically, but done. If they can't answer such a simple question why would anyone want to do business with them? People have the right to support smaller and local business if they want. But, all that's needed is the answer to a simple question, right? ;-)
