Sometimes (like last night) when trying to latch on, Brody will have his mouth wide open and will thrash his head around almost like he's trying to find my nipple (even though it's practically in his mouth), will kick his feet furiously and then start to cry. After he latches on (a minute or so) he seems fine.
Is this gas? Or could he just be hungry and frustrated that he's not latching on quicker?

Re: Kicking and crying when trying to latch on ?
It could be a number of things... DS may just be over tired and frusterated. Do you know if you have a slow let down? I know some Moms with slow let downs will pump a little before latching LO.
Sometimes my DD does this when she's really tired or has a cold because it's hard to breathe through her nose.
I wouldn't worry too much about it as long as he's eventually latching on and nursing enough.
Please keep your LOs RF as long as possible
