question about ferber & standing..

I know someone recently posted this, but I can't find it now.

Anyway, we did Ferber around Thanksgiving and it was amazing. Then Christmas came and we got all screwed up.  FI is off for a week so we thought we would try again, but now DD is standing, ALOT! Anytime she wakes up she immediately stands up, when I go in to lay her back down she immediately stands right back up. This happens within seconds!

Do I just let her stand? Then when I go in put her back down?

    I don't think you put her back down at all.  The point isn't to pick her up.  I think the point is for her to fall asleep on her own accord, i.e. be in her crib and know to go to sleep.   Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd want her to learn that when she stands up and cries, she isn't going to get "put" down - if that makes sense.
