North Dakota Babies

close to 2 weeks now...

w/o an acknowledgement from SIL on the christmas presents we sent them. No oohhh, we loved them or eww we hated them and burned them in the backyard. I know they got them b/c mil made a point to tell me how my niece loved the dress up clothes that my bil got her so much more than the ones we sent.

i mean really how hard is it to send a text, even if it reads:

Thanks for the crappy presents, we hate you. happy new year.

come now is etiquette totally dead?

  • Were those the presents you spilt the wine on?

Maybe that is why she is such a snatch.  Just kidding.

Agreed! I would totally buy that card. haha

  • I don't know if it's different for us since we were WITH my B/SIL on Christmas while the boys were opening their gifts, but we never heard a Thank You. I hardly expect a written thank you, I really don't, but they never even said thank you while we were there. They deserve each other.

I think they were both kinda pissed because our older nephew LOVED what we got him. Like, he was ignoring all of his other toys/gifts because he wanted to play with the $20 gift we got him. Devil lol

  • This reminds me of a story a co-worker told me recently. For years she sent presents to her relatives in Florida. Many of them were to her neice's family. Not once, ever, did she get any acknowledgment that they even received them let alone a thank you. She knew they had gotten them because she sends them to her sister who distributes all the presents. This year she didn't send them any gifts because she was sick of not getting a thank you or anything. I didn't find out if they said anything, now I'll have to ask her if they did.

     I think that's so rude!
