Help - Bleeding (not spotting) During O??

I posted a earlier this morning about having fleshy-pink CM with a couple drops of blood yesterday as well as period-like cramping. Well I just started bleeding a little bit ago and it almost seems like my period starting. While charting when TTC #1 I always ovulated on day 15 or 16 and today is day 16 for me, is there any chance this is really my period?

 

I'm kind of really freaking out, I thought a little blood might be okay during O but this doesn't seem like a little and we leave for Mexico in 6 days. Any advice/thoughts?

    Are you just coming off of birth control or anything? It might be your body regulating if you are.  If not then I don't know! If you are charting with FF maybe try putting it in as light or medium or however it is and see what they do with it? Good luck!!

    No, I haven't been on BC or anything.

    I'll put it in FF and see what it says but I haven't been good at temping during the holidays either...

    I know some people can spot and have cramping during O, but that sounds like your period to me. I would just wait a few days and see if it's as long as your period normally is. Good luck and have fun in MexicoSmile

    OP - This cycle I experienced 4-5 days of heavy spotting leading up to O.  See my chart (link in siggy).  I did not need a pad or panty liner but it was bright red and quite a bit but only when I went pee.

    I did some reading in TCOYF and it says that about 10% of women experience pre-O spotting at that as long as it doesn't last more than 4-5 days it is not cause for medical attention.  

    The bleeding and cramping for me has now stopped and I have gotten my CHs.

    FWIW I have been off BCP for 1-1/2 years and this is the 1st cycle that I have mid-cycle spotting of any kind.

    Huh, thanks that makes me feel a little better!! I need a pad so far but it's not heavy either...guess we'll see what tomorrow brings
