clothes for after LO arrives

So as some of you may know my dad passed away Dec 18th. He was cremated so we were waiting until after DS is born to have his memorial. We will be traveling to MN for it about a week after he's born so I want to have as much ready to go now.


All that being said I'm wondering what size clothes I should plan on wearing a week or two PP. I'm sure I will still have to wear some maternity clothes and I know no one can predict what will really happen.

If it helps I haven't really gained any weight. I lost so much in my first trimester and am only 8 lbs heavier then before i got pg. And most of that last 8 lbs has been water weight since I have suddenly started to majorly swell.

    You'll probably still be able to wear maternity clothes.

    The first few weeks it's not really so much about the weight as much as it is about how quickly your uterus shrinks/organs move back into place. For me, I definitely was still in my maternity clothes the first couple of weeks {probably longer, just cant' remember}. I'm pretty sure my size was comparable to where I was 5-6 mos preggers. HTH

    I was still wearing maternity clothes then as well.  I looked about 5/6 months pregnant for the first couple of weeks after birth.

    Definitely take your maternity clothes.  My tummy was still very distended the first couple of weeks pp.  Also, if you wind up having to have a c-section you aren't going to want to put on regular pants for awhile.

    This. I wore maxi dresses for two weeks straight. I slowly moved into yoga and drawstring pants.
