  When DH had to do back to back SA's we were told 1 week. 1 week between the test and no sexual contact in that week.

  As for the HSG they told me I could use the restroom before. Unless the dr. told you something specific then don't worry about a full bladder. The procedure isn't long and some people reccomend taking advil before/after the procedure because it may be a little uncomfortable, especially when they inflate the balloon IMO.

  1. SA - did they say why he needs a repeat?  If it's because there was a problem with the sample, I think you could have another one done right away.  If it's because there were some low numbers and they want a second to compare, you will need to wait longer as the life cycle of sperm is about 70 days - i.e., the sperm he's producing right now won't be able to be tested for 70 days.  MH was low all three and had a 2nd SA done two months after the first.  I would ask your doctor to interpret the results of the SA for you if he/she hasn't done so already.

  2. HSG - I didn't have to have a full bladder.  Like PP, I took a few Advil beforehand.  Good luck tomorrow morning!

  Thanks ladies. We are still waiting for the dr to call with the interpretation of the SA. Hopefully we will hear soon!

  Nervous about my HSG. Thinking good throughts for clear tubes and a good ute this morning!
