So an hour ago, DH walked in, says hi to the baby (who was eating at the time), changes to his boots, goes out and spends 20 minutes taking care of the dogs. He comes in, looks in the kitchen and asks what I was in the middle of fixing. There is a bottom pie crust baked on the stove, and two chicken breasts waiting to be chopped up, so obviously I'm in the middle of making chicken pot pie. I tell him dinner can be ready soon, but E decided to need to eat and be entertained.
He goes to the sink to wash his hands, and I say to E, "Daddy's getting ready for you," and DH says, "Actually, I'm just getting ready to leave for the club. I have to stop by the vet and pick up Duke's meds and then I'm teaching all evening." He finishes his hands, puts on his coat, and walks out.
Remind me why I'm married?
I know this isn't helping you, but I honestly wished you could have seen it, because it sounds a LOT like what you're going through now. I was laughing through the frustration, since he JUST proved my point from earlier..
You're not alone!
Thinking of you this evening. Hope things are better, since you shared!!! At least it got a little better for me once I started talking it over with sympathetic friends.
Re: ::Sarah::
It helped a lot today to know I wasn't alone. We talked a little tonight and I feel better. I am going to talk to Nora's pedi tomorrow about what meds he's okay with then call my doc about the PPD.
Thanks for sharing, it sucks for all of us but at least we aren't alone!
