Yay for progress!

I went in last week (36 weeks) and I was 1 centimeter dilated and my cervix was high. Today (37 weeks) I was still 1 centimeter dilated, but my cervix is soft, I am 80% effaced and baby is at -2 station. I guess these contractions do mean something after all! Even if I go past my due date, at least I will have some progress when I go in for an induction, unlike my induction with DD where I was 80% effaced and 0 centimeters dilated when I went in.

By the way, I had my growth ultra sound today. They estimated that DS is 7lbs 3oz right now and will probably be over 8lbs if I go until my due date. I am not putting too much stock into this though, because they used a level I u/s, which she said can be +/- 20%. Also, his body was measuring at 37 weeks, but his legs were almost 40 weeks (thanks to my 6?4? DH).

That's great news!! I am so curious to see how accurate those ultra sounds are...I had one 2 weeks ago - guess I'll find out tomorrow (c/s scheduled).

Thats great progress!!! I just wanted to say i had an ultrasound the day before my lo arrived and she was estimated at 6lbs 4oz. and when she was born the next night she was 6lbs 8 oz. So sometimes the ultrasounds can be kinda close, just thought i'd put that out there.

When I had my growth u/s with DD it was dead on, but it was on a Level II machine. I didn't know if it would be the same accuracy on a Level I machine. Thanks!
