Trouble TTC

Anyone notice less CM on Femara

This is my second round on Femara and I noticed last cycle I hardly had any CM, and certainly not much fertile CM.  So far this cycle I've been pretty "dry", too.  Is this a side effect of Femara?

Re: Anyone notice less CM on Femara

  • I had almost zero CM on Clomid, but this cycle on Femara I've had a lot.  My lining was really thin on Clomid, but not on Femara.  So maybe it is true that it is correlated!
    11/10: IUI #1 =100mg Clomid CD4-8 + pregnyl trigger + IUI = chemical pregnancy
    1/11: IUI #2 = 5mg Femara + trigger + IUI = BFN
    2/11: IUI #3 = injectibles + trigger + IUI = BFN

  • I actually do have problems with a thin lining but I've never had problems with plentiful CM before starting Femara.  I will have to ask my RE to look at that at my u/s on Monday.

  • From my experience with it (on it right now), I feel average in the CM department.  With Clomid I was way too dry most of the time, but Femara seems to be friendly to me at least in that area.
