I checked into the hospital for an induction, thinking I would be a mommy sometime in the next 24-48 hours. I never would have believed that 4 days later I would be lying on the operating table having a c-section because no trick in the book would put me into labor. It was all worth it in the end though. My memories of that nightmare are fading the way other women's memories of labor pain fade. I still shudder when I hear the term fetal monitor though.

It's amazing what a beautiful baby girl and a year will do to your memory. FWIW, I had a similar experience with my first and went on to have 3 VBACs.
I still can't believe we had the same due date and ended up having our babies the same day- almost 2 weeks later!!
It's amazing how motherhood dulls the memory of child birth.
You will have such a great story to share with Caroline about her looooong journey into this world.
I wonder if Caroline will be punctually challenged in her adult life

Not likely. That was a one time thing. We are obsessively prompt people.
Pass the tissues please.
I still can't beleive your birth story. Thank God I was already in the hospital and didn't know what was going on with you. You would have scared the pants off me too!
Sniff... sniff... aww... sniff...
I'm so glad I had a textbook induction at 41 weeks. I can't imagine FOUR DAYS!!!! Man! I got the Cervadil at 10/11 pm (forget exact time) on 8/13 and my OB broke my water @8:30 am on 8/14 and Aaron was born 6 hours later at 2:31 pm. I'll forgive him for the 4th degree tears since he came quickly once he was forced to.
