When did you allow LO to sleep with a Lovie?
DD loves to cuddle stuff. She even steals the burp cloth and cuddles that. So I relented and let her have one of those teddy bear heads that has an attached blanket. One side is fleece and the other side is silky. The size is a bit bigger than a wash cloth. (See below for an idea.) When she gets tired she rubs the silky part on her face.

Re: S/O Blankets: Lovies
I'd actually really like DS to get attached to something like this....but nothing so far.
He does sleep with a crocheted blanket now though. It has larger holes, so he could still breathe if it would get over his head...but that hasn't happened once.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
Maybe a few months after she could reliably roll front to back/back to front.
She always liked to hold them, so I used to let her hold them when she was falling asleep and then would take them out after an hour or so.
Emily didn't get attached to anything until just recently. Its a Wall-E stuffed animal (robot?). And she doesn't need it to sleep, we left it at daycare one weekend and she was fine without it. But it does go to bed with her and most days goes to daycare also.
Yes, I have a weird child but she's cute and I'll keep her.

Totally off-topic, but it seems like you just had your LO, I can't believe it is almost time for you to go back to work!
I know - it's crazy!! I've worked out a decent telecommuting schedule that's keeping me sane right now...but still not looking forward to returning. These past months have been beyond wonderful.

DD sleeps with a taggie blanket and now a regular blanket but did that since maybe 9 months old? With her hip dysplasia, I couldn't swaddle her in her harness for the first 13 weeks of her life so she got used to sleeping without one. Now the blanket is more of a security thing and to keep her warm since the temps have dropped quite a bit lately.
Side note, she will pull the blanket over her head and sleep and it freaks.me.out. I'll pull it down but I guess she likes the extra feeling of darkness but I definitely check multiple times during the night to make sure all is okay but she snores away.
