I don't have in home recomendations but we send our son to Radiant Montessori in Maple Grove and my friend sends her daugther to Creative Kids in Maple Grove. They are both somewhat reasonable for centers. I think my friend negotiated a lower rate from their list price- it is worth a shot.
Not an in-home, but we loved Tender Time in Maple Grove. They were the cheapest center we found in MG and so nice! They are locally owned (so we were able to negotiate a discount). We loved sending our daughter there. She only went for 2 weeks (I lost my job soon after maternity leave) but we could tell they already loved her. We will definitely be going back once I find a job.
This may sounds like a dumb question but are you firm about the provider being licensed? Our daughter goes 3 times a week for 4 hours to a woman off of Zane & Brooklyn Blvd. My daughter loves her! She watches 2 other children after school as well for 2 hours. I love this as my little girl gets attention from the older kids as they adore her. They read her books, talk to her and she seems to love the stimulation. However, she is NOT licensed and does not plan on providing care to mass quantities of children and has no plans to become licensed. She did tell me she would consider taking one or two children on a full time basis if she found the right fit. She states she likes being Grandma. (note: she is 52 years old and was a stay at home Mom for her 7 children that are now adults)
