He did leave. His new practice is in the Beaumont building on Hall Road on the opposite side of the street right before Partridge Creek.
I was super frustrated with getting bounced around at the older practice and it was so hard to get answers and seen on time, etc, etc, etc. I called to schedule my annual with him and they wouldn't even tell me where he went; I was SO upset, he was my favorite.
I went for my annual and LOVED the office. I've heard great things about the rest of the practice. I asked for reviews a few posts down (https://community.thebump.com/cs/ks/forums/thread/45201713.aspx) I would highly recommended it. They got me in for a visit that same week, and I got to pick what time I went in. Such a difference.
If you want more info, feel free to PM me.

I plan on calling first thing tomorrow morning! Thanks so much!
If you tell them that you came from his old practice, they'll get you in ASAP. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but it's nice for them to know who is coming from where. He was really appreciative and humbled that people were following him when I was there.
Let us know how it goes!

I am so glad to find out where Dr. Valice went. He was so great to me after my mc in September. I was so bummed when I called to make my 1st OB appt with this pregnancy and they stuck me with a midwife! It really irritated me, plus the front desk missed me signing in and made us wait for over an hour because they thought we were late, when we were actually 15 minutes early. So, I have been looking to switch to see Dr. Valice, but I am wondering if they rotate on call or is your doctor your the doctor that will deliver you. I am just wondering if they operate like larger practices or if they are different. Thanks!

Thanks. Did you used to go to Oakland Macomb? If so, could you PM me with what made you leave? I too have my concerns. Thanks.

I have been going to the practice that Dr Valice changed over to, and for delivery purposes, there are 5 doctors and you have to meet all of the doctors, because one of them will be the ones to deliver the baby.
When I meet him a couple of weeks ago, the nurse said he was really nice and a lot of his patients have left the other place to come see him there.
I was leary about a new doc, but Kbaby said he was good, and I really like him so far.
I must be the minority because I don't think he's all that great. I was just discharged from the hospital after being on bedrest for a month for pPROM and had a follow up appointment. I told him I thought I started leaking amniotic fluid again (the MFM's said my leak had sealed and let me go home), he told me it was NORMAL and refused to check me. He did a quick ultrasound that showed my fluid levels and dropped from 19 to 10 over 2 days and he said that was normal too. I was shocked. I went back to Royal Oak's OB triage where they confirmed I was leaking and had lost all of my amniotic fluid by then. Dr. Uckele could not believe what Dr. Valice did. He still brings it up at my yearly appointments because he was even more shocked then me.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience. When I was looking for a doctor when I first got pregnant I was so overwhelmed with some of the doctor review sites on the internet. It seemed like almost every doctor has at least one unhappy customer out there. I am sure there could be endless threads on here if we all started posting 'share your stories,' or 'which doctor don't you like.' Pregnancy is a very emotional time in a woman's life and can be really scary, but no one is perfect. I'm glad that everything worked out for you, and you found a doctor that you like.
I feel like people who had a good relationship with Dr. Valice and preferred him at his old practice deserve to know where he went if they wish to continue seeing him for their care.

I'd also like some info on his new practice/concerns you may have had with your old practice. When is too late to switch? There's so much to think about!

Didn't know if it was the info, in which case I wouldn't PM you. Or something unrelated, in which case I would pass along the info.
