high estrogen levels?

This is my first cycle of clomid (50 mg).  My dr. had me do the CD 3 & CD 7 blood work, and I just FINALLY got the call this afternoon with the results (8 days later!----does anyone else think that took a long time???).  She said that everything looked great except that my estrogen levels were very high (she didn't say exactly what they were and I didn't think to ask) and that she wants me to come back in on CD 21 for more blood work as well as a beta test. 

 From what I understand, the clomid could have just overstimulated things and caused this and/or I could have developed a cyst?  Is this correct??  Has anyone had this happen to them?

    Have you gotten any ultrasounds done? Is your dr going based on b/w alone? My estrogen was ridiculously high when i did gonal f and it was near the 3000 range. Because i had made so many eggs (over 50 mature) and that my estrogen was so high, i started to get a mild case of OHSS. I was very uncomfortable for about a week and felt like i was coming down with something, but i wasn't. I cant stress how important it is to be monitored when using Clomid. Please ask for an ultrasound so you can see what is happening before you trigger and/or ovulate. GL

    I asked her about getting one today when I spoke with her.  She said she was going to check the b/w on Friday and then send me for one.  She said IF we do another round of Clomid, we would monitor it with b/w and ultrasounds.
