37 wk. appt.

After having about a week now of irregular contractions, still no new progress.  1 cm and 50% and I haven't dropped. 

I didn't think I would be so emotional, but I am.  Guess I psyched myself up too much.  I know LO needs to bake longer and I am being impatient.  

I went from last week the dr. saying "2 weeks", to Saturday the nurse at the hospital saying "1 week" to the dr. saying today, you're handling pregnancy beautifully and can probably go to 40 wks.

    Ugh! sorry for the frustrating news.. my doc told me today she expects me to make it to my due date, so I feel your frustration..

    Its hard as so many other Jan moms start dropping like flies!

    My 37 week appointment is tomorrow and I am not expecting good news.  I did not progress at all with DD until I was induced at 39 weeks, and I think it's going to be the same this time too :-(

    I hear ya! I was put on bedrest at 32 weeks and got off at 36 weeks this last Saturday. I'm 1 cm and 90% effaced and dr. has said I won't make it until my due date. That gets me all anxious and excited that baby is coming soon, but I know that's not for sure. I'd be happy to make it to 37 weeks and have her this Saturday. Is that asking too much? lol

    Oh man, I can see why you'd be frustrated. It's so hard when we get our hopes up for something (anything) and then nature and these LO's change plans w/o even consulting us! But from what I hear, a lot can change in a short amount of time so who really knows? It's anyone's guess....

    I'll keep you in mind this week and hope that progression takes a nice HUGE leap forward!

    I am sorry. At my 36 week appt my doc looked at me and said...oh my, i don't think we are even going to make it to 39 weeks!  I was like OMG, came home FREAKED out & well, here I am 39 weeks tomorrow and still preg!  Why do they even say anything!

    I am with you.  I am going to day for my 38 week app. and th last 2 app. there hasn't been anything.  My doctor says the head is low but thats it.  I am very glad she hasn't made any predictions as to how long I will go because it is only natural to build your expectations after what the doctor says.   I have come to the conclusion that it doesn't seem to really matter what your progress is at the appointments.  You hear so many say they are so far along and then they still have to wait and wait while some haven't progressed at all and all of a sudden they are on their way to the hospital.  This whole experience is a huge lesson in patience (which I am not very good at).
