Just curious... Of course we all just want healthy babies, but does anyone have a slight preference for either a boy or girl?
Our first was a boy and we wanted a boy first. This time around I'm not too sure. If we have another boy, it'd be fun for the boys to play together and of course, hand-me-downs! But I have to admit, I'm dying to dress a little girl!

As long as baby's healthy, I'll be happy, but deep down, I would really like to have another girl. I know every child is different, but I sort of feel like I know what to expect with a girl. My daughter put a request in for a little sister as soon as I told her I was pregnant, but said she would love it even if it was a boy, haha!
Hubby and everyone else are rooting for a boy. With DD, I had a strong feeling (based on absolutely nothing sane or reasonable) that she was a girl from very early on. The other night, I started to feel that this one is a boy -again, based on absolutely nothing but a feeling, so we'll see!
Since my DH and I began talk of a baby I wanted a girl because I already had her nursery planned out and a name, but now that it's "real" I'm leaning more towards a boy. I began babysitting when I was 13 (relatives then eventually others kids) and I've ALWAYS babysat boys. It's what I'm most comfortable with.
Don't let me forget to mention that I cry at night because I can't decide on the colors I want for a nursery for a little girl now, I THOUGHT I had things planned out perfectly but now my hormones are telling me differently. Ugh, pregnancy.
I know exactly what you mean!
It's a good thing we can't pick the gender, because I'm pretty sure we'd all go crazy trying to decide!
THIS!!

And, having already had a baby born with a life-threatening birth defect, I'll take a healthy baby as well. It's coincidental that this would be posted right now as January is Birth Defects Awareness Month. I truly wish for healthy babies for all the women who are carrying babies right now.
Totally not preaching, I know exactly what I want... no surprises in the delivery room, and to go home with a healthy baby at the end of my 3 day stay!!
I honestly have zero preference.
After two m/c's, I just want a healthy baby. Boy or girl.
DH and I have fantasized about our future children-to-be for YEARS. We have always wanted two, a boy and a girl; but we especially talk about a daughter. As we've gotten older we've realized that we may not be able to afford two children, and with how much we've talked about our future yet-to-be-daughter I think we're both hoping for a girl since this may be our only chance.
But ultimately, it is more important that we have a healthy baby, and DH and I would be just as excited with a son. I think we've decided to let the gender be a surprise though.
