24 Weeks Check up with Bladder infection??

Today I had my monthly dr appt.  and after they tested my urine they said i had a bladder infections?  So i didnt think at the time to ask what causes this but i am curious now....any ideas?

 Is a bladder infection something to be worried about?  I was put on antibiotics for treatment and go back in 3 weeks.

    I know that they are super common in pregnancy, not sure why since we drink a ton of water and pee all of the time! I wouldn't be worried about it since they caught it. A friend of mine who is 32 weeks is on her 3rd one and they have decided to keep her on antibiotics for the next 8 weeks since she keeps getting them.

    Hope yours goes away and doesn't come back!

    Its very common in pregnancy. Its easily treated, but if left untreated can cause contractions. Hope you feel better soon!

    I have been feeling like I'm getting on the past couple of days, but no burning (sorry if TMI). So I have been telling myself that baby boy must just be laying in a spot where he is pushing on my bladder more... humm. So glad I have an appointment first thing friday morning now... Huh?
