Re: Let's all say Hello to all the newbies!

  • I am a newbie too.

I am in NYC. I don't have a diagnosis yet, they thought maybe endo, but it doesn't look like it. "unexplained" so far. I am on CD 5 and just got started on clomid and had the HSG. I do in Friday for the b/w and ultrasound to determine when the IUI would be. I had to wait 56 days last cycle, and have no idea why. They wouldn't let me take provera because my bloodwork showed I ovulated. It was hard to wait 2 months to at least get started with the testing, although like I said it hasn't even shown what the problem is anyway. TTC since 3/10 and I am 34, so I need to get started!

We only have one fur baby, our cat Evander :)

  • I'm also new to the board.

I'm from California and have been married for 2.5 years, TTC since March 09. In March 2010, we started seeing an RE and the dx was MFI, specifically low motility. We did one clomid, trigger, ti cycle in May before I decided to take a weight loss break. So far I have lost 25 pounds and we are ready to start with treatments again. I'm on my last day (CD7) of Femara and have an appointment on Friday to see my progress. Hopefully an IUI will follow next week. I'm trying to stay positive without getting overly confident. I don't want to feel crushed if this doesn't work the first time but it is so hard.

  • Hello! I am relative newbie...trying post more and not just lurk!

DH and I have been together for 6 years and married for 4. We started TTC in Dec of 2009. We are currently going through testing with my OBGYN (bloodwork, HSG, and SA). We *might* have found some IF issues, but are waiting to get all the results and take them to an RE.

Welcome! I look forward to "getting to know" everyone, but hopefully our stay is short and sweet!

  • Hi ladies! I've been hanging around these parts for a few months, but still consider myself a newb.

I live in MN.  My husband and I have been married a little over a year.  We wanted to start trying right away, but I have vaginismus so we had to get that under control first.  Started trying sometime over the summer (time line is hazy cause of the vaginismus) and was diagnosed with PCOS in October.  I'm CD12 now on my 3rd Clomid cycle, so fingers crossed this one works.

    TTC since 2010

  • Hey all! I'm relatively new. Posted an intro a few months back and have been mostly lurking.

I'm 31, live in VA, just retired on disability from the fire department and am enjoying being a SAHW. I'm in massage therapy school and should finish up in April. MH and I have been TTC since May 2010, we were married March 6, 2010. On cycle #8 now. I have a history of endometriosis and hypothyroidism. I see my OB/GYN on Thursday as an annual and to talk about fertility testing (my PCP recommended it when I saw him in Dec. due to my endo). My endo has been hurting a lot the past few months so I'm wondering what's up with it, maybe my endometiomas are back. So hoping my doc gets everything fixed up soon.

    Good luck to everyone!

  • Great to meet you all!! Kat.. I hope you get you BFP. LET US KNOW!

CD 7,8 and 9 gals lets keep in touch and good luck this cycle. I hope this is it for us all.

  • I've been lurking for a few months, but now we're pursuing treatment, so I thought I'd try to post more. Thanks for getting us out there!

I'm 35, DH is 33. We've been together 6 years, married 2.5, TTC since August 2009. We have one fur baby, Wylie, he's a Viszla. All our work up has been completely normal. My cycles are to the day regular, I can tell you exactly when I ovulate (thanks to TCOYF I now know more about the position of my cervix than any person should know!) and DH's swimmers are great. So it's unexplained. We're doing our first IUI this month. I'm currently CD7, last Clomid tomorrow, monitoring US on  Sunday and if all looks good, trigger and IUI Monday. Sounds like lots of us are going to be going through the 2WW together! Best of luck everyone!

  • I am a newbie too.  Have been lurking for a few months and have learned so much.  Feeling like I need to start posting so I'm glad you posted this.

We are TTC with PCOS and MFI.  Currently on a break due to cysts and c/p and praying AF will hold off during a long weekend at Universal Studios this weekend for my 30th bday!  I think the big birthday this week has been making this break even harder.

DH and I have been together for 5 years...married just over a year and been off BC since 10/09 (if I had only known all the $ I would have saved through the years) and started tests and then meds this summer.  We have three furrbabies.  Two crazy cats and one mellow Pyrenees mix dog.

Jenn I am so jealous of your wedding date. I love numbers like that and we thought about it but my dad had already dealt with 3 years of us "living in sin" :)  I am in CT too!  I see you are in search of a new Dr.  I'm currently under care at The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services and <3 my dr.

  • Hi everyone! ::waves::

DH and I have been married for about a year and a half and ttc for about a year now. DH is 26 and I'm 25. I have PCOS and a slight bicornate uterus (my mom and one of my sisters also have bicornate utes). We live in TX, I'm a middle school math teacher and dh is a police officer. I've been lurking here for almost a year and I've been rooting for all of you!

Oh and we have one furbaby ::points to siggy:: He's a sweet pup :)

  • Hello all - I'm also a newbie.  I've been lurking here for a little while and figure now was as good a time as any to introduce myself.  DH is 35 and I'm 33.  We live in Michigan, have been married for a little over 2 years and have been TTC since May 2009.  I had my HSG yesterday (all clear - although the doctor mentioned having difficulty inserting the catheter due to cervical "scarring" and asked if I've ever had a LEEP done - which I haven't) and we are awaiting the results of DH's second SA (the first had low morphology).  It's nice to "meet" everybody!

  • Hi everyone!

I am new to the posting scene. My husband and I have been married for 4.5 years and TTC for 1.5. We have just recently started seeking medical diagnosis for why we have not been able to concieve. My husband is going to the infertility Dr. tomorrow to have a semen anaylsis done =/ (Anyone know how long it takes to get results back?). My Gyn thinks I might not be ovulating every cycle.

We have one fur baby - Titus, he's a toy aussie

  • Hi fellow newbies! I posted an intro a couple of days so I won't repeat myself, but I updated my signature with all the important info. I live in St Louis and my husband and I got married in August 2009. We have an English bulldog that we are literally obsessed with. If I don't get pregnant in the next year, I'm sure we'll get another :) Looking forward to getting to know you all!

  • I'm a newbie here too. I post on TTGP and TTC after 35. I'm 35, DH is 45. We've been together 3.5 years, married 2.5. We don't have an official dx from the RE yet but from my OB it looks like I have low progesterone and he has low viscosity/rate. February 4th can't come fast enough!

We have one furbaby. I'm thinking about adding her to my siggy - she's a yellow labrador (8 years old.) DH jokes that he picked up two blondes when he married me.

  • Hmmm, I wrote out a whole reply here yesterday and it's not showing up... gotta love the Bump technical issues.

Anywho, hello, I posted an intro last month but with the holidays and all I haven't been on here much recently but hope to start posting more. I'm Lori, and my DH and I have been TTC since we got married in April. Because of my age (37) we started with an RE in October. We are just about done with testing. Everything with me came back pretty much okay, except for borderline thyroid results; I have a consult with a med endo in a couple weeks to make sure that gets under control.

DH is a different story though. His two SAs showed low motility and poor recovery post-processing, which means we are not good candidates for the IUI we were planning to do. He is currently seeing a urologist with his final appointment in two weeks. After that we'll meet again with the RE to make a treatment plan that will most likely be IVF with ICSI. I already feel like I'm drowning in doctor's appointments, and its only going to get worse.

  • I'm new to this board as well.  I mainly post on TTCAL 6+, but since we've started fertility treatments, I've moved over here.  My story in a nutshell:  We started TTC in October 2009, and got pg very quickly on the 2nd month trying.  We lost that baby at 8 weeks exactly a year ago and have been dealing with fertility issues ever since.  I had a lap in November, where he removed 2 endometriomas and small amounts of endo.  We are now on our second injectables cycle.  Good luck to everyone here!

  • Hi I am Jana and have been lurking and just did my intro today. I live in Iowa and am a SAHM. We have post vasectomy reversal male factor and I have pcos. I currently have 5 cm cysts on both ovaries. I have a 10 month old and we are trying for a little brother or sister for him. We tried for 1.5 years and got bfp with clomid, hcg, iui combo. I am almost 32 and I can hear the clock ticking. We pay OOP and money really is getting me down... I have a RE appointment tomorrow to check on my cysts.

Blessings to all my TTC newbies!

  • Hi there,
I was diagnosed with vaginismus and started a self help book/journal about a year ago. Finally got to the part where things are supposed to start happening and it's not going so well.  I really want to start a family and so does my husband.  Do you have any advice?
  • Hello! I am also fairly new. Brandi from Central California. Huby and I have been together since 2005 and got married 6/11/2011 and have be ttc since. He is perfect and I have a really low AMH. We've been trying to complete an IUI cycle for 3 months now. Egg never dropped from previous month, then largest was an 11 (Femara) , then a 7 (Serophene). This cycle is a combo- pills (Serophene) days 1-6 then injections (Follistim) 7-12. Hoping we actually get to complete an IUI cycle. If this doesnt work, its off to take out a loan and look into IVF. Thinking I might taek a month off or so to lose weight. I was going to the gym and doing good but all this meds make me sooooo sluggish. Welcome. Hope our visits are short!
