AF arrived - FML!!!

On CD 22 - 11 dpo. WTF?! I had a pretty consistent 14 day LP (one cycle 13 day and 3 cycles 15 day).

So I will be moving on to IVF. I have my IVF consult with my RE on Wednesday. I hope it's not too late for this cycle - since I wasn't expecting AF until Thursday. I am not sure what all to expect, so if anyone has any insight on what happens when you start to cycle I'd appreciate it.

I assume there will need to be a CD 3 u/s and I know I may have to have an SHG and the mock transfer.

::sigh:: Just was really hoping this wasn't going to be necessary. So I'll have my ptiy party tonight and get on board tomorrow.

Oh and when does your RE count CD 1 as? I know the first day of bright red flow, but my RE says it has to be before noon - after noon (which mine was today) counts the next day as CD 1. Seems like an early cut off to me. We'll see what they say when I call them tomorrow (it was too late to call today).

Sorry about AF

You might want to ask tomorrow when you call if they have any idea what kind of protocol you'll be doing. I did antagonist, and had to be on BCPs for three weeks and I had to start them no later than CD 3. Depending on your RE, it might be weeks before you begin stims.

My RE counts CD 1 as the first day of red flow as long as it starts before 5 PM.

I'd make a huge list of questions to ask at the consult. Things like why is your RE choosing a specific protocol, what does s/he perceive as obstacles to a succesful IVF cycle, etc.

I'm so sorry AF showed for you. My RE counts CD 1 as first day with red flow as long as it's before 5pm <~ at least that's how I remember, now I'm second guessing myself. But good luck with your RE!

My RE doesn't have an hour cut off with respect to which day to count as CD1. If AF arrives, then the day on which it arrives is CD1.

I'm sorry AF showed up:( Last Oct. my 2nd Follistim/IUI cycle ended with a 9 day LP. I do know that the hubs and I had to have infectious disease testing, me a mock transfer, and a shg prior to IVF. Good luck with your upcoming IVF cycle, it really wasn't too bad:)

So so sorry to hear about AF. Good luck with your IVF consults. My RE considers day 1 afer 5PM.
