If either of my 10 month old twins wake up in the middle of the night and won't go back to sleep after we let them fuss, I'll break out the bottle and give them a few ounces. They'll go back almost immediately.
My pedi would spank me if she knew that. However, she doesn't have twins and a job to go to.:)
Anyone else? Just curious.
Re: I have a confession
I've been doing that with DS all along and have really been trying to wean him of the thinking that he needs to eat at night. My pedi totally let me have it at his 6 month appointment and I know I need to stop doing it. But it's so much easier on me then letting him cry and hoping he goes back to sleep. I fail.
He still wakes at least twice a night, so I get pretty desperate for sleep.?

I'm confused, too.
What a novel thought...10 month olds occasionally being hungry at night...
Seriously, why wouldn't you feed them?
I do it when he wakes up and wont go back to sleep.
I let my DS sleep with me when he gets up at night. I know not good. Oh well I really just wanted to say...
GO PHILLIES!!!!!!!!!!
ohh my pedi would kick all your asses. Word for word, the lecture I got-
"Unless your baby weighs less than 10lbs, they can sleep through the night without "being hungry". They are using you for comfort since they go in and out of sleep cycles, and sometimes they don't know how to get themselves back down.
It's not going to ever stop if you don't stop it...."
Well i am guilty too if he needs a bottle he gets one. I can always tell the difference he woke up out of hunger or just because. If he gulps a 4 ounce bottle then he was hungry if he takes an ounce hes probably either thirsty or using it to go back to bed.
But one thing i have noticed is that since hes been on strictly table food the past two weeks hes totally seeming satisfied at night now. He went to bed at 7pm last night that was his last bottle till he woke at 8am this morning. So in our case i think hes more satisfied with the real food. IMO
