Enfamil AR

Today my 1 month old was switched from Enfamil Newborn to Enfamil AR for acid reflux.  It seems to be very thick (which is to be expected with having rice cereal in it) and hard for my DD to get out.  She is definately not spitting up as much but is fussy when eating.  Does anyone have any "tricks" to making this formula easier for her to eat?  TIA!

    We went up a nipple size and it really helped out my LO.

    I was told to not add so much formula or add an extra oz of water. Ex: 4oz bottle turns into a 5oz bottle with only two scoops.

    *i dont use AR though, but was suggested this through a friend who told me that is what she did*

    Thanks ladies.  After talking to Enfamil the "trick" is allowing the formula to sit for 5 minutes to thin out a little.  Weird, but working for us.  Now we are just starting to battle a little constipation!

    We had the same problem when Ella was on AR.  We had increase the nipple size.... had to switch to a different kind of formula though because the AR gave her HORRIBLE constipation!  She is now on Gentlease again but with ceral mixed in.... it is helping the reflux so far!  Good luck!
