Hey I was going to answer this in my previous post, but decided I'd make a new one.
It's a neighborhood off Old Railroad Bed...and the crazy part about it is that it is zoned for Providence/Columbia...H'ville city. Not crazy about that at all. You can literally see Endeavor from it (which I would be very happy to send Aubrey to), but they have it zoned for H'ville city. Craziness in my opinion.
Now I know Providence and Columbia are both fairly new but Providence is very overcrowded. They did a bunch of rezoning bringing in kids from the elementary school over by Mastin Lake. So they are way over capacity, and why they have neighborhoods that far away from them zoned for there is beyond me, but apparently there are several neighborhoods zoned for there around that area, when Endeavor, Legacy, and Monrovia are all closer. Plus I have heard that the superintendent in H'ville is horrible. Also they are like 19 million dollars in debt so there is no way that they will be building another school, even though it sounds like that is what they need.
My connections are in Madison County and I really hope that I can find a job there when I go back, and if that is the case I would just put her there. I'd put her in Madison City too if I got a job there. But who knows, know what I mean?
Re: **Erin**
I completely understand. You know where Gregg teaches and I would be perfectly happy with Bryant going to school there. I love Madison County schools. I hope to find a job there if I can pass my Praxis in 2 weeks. Madison City has it good and bad. But I am with you Huntsville will not be building any more schools anytime soon. I heard that they are going to have to lay off more teachers at the end of the year because of their debt.
Madison County is where our connections are as well. Providence/Columbia isn't where I would want to send my child, esp with Endeavor, Legacy, or Monrovia so close by.
I think I know the neighborhood you are talking about or in the area. It's really nice, I can't believe it's zoned that way...
