Anyone ever put off taking an hpt?

Dh and I went through a rough patch emotionally for a couple of months. We were having fights all the time, when before that, our fights were few and far between. It was like everything was just bubbling over. At that time, DH said he wasn't ready for a 2nd child yet, becuase he wanted to get finances in order some more and spend more time with our LO now before we added another. I was a little let down since I had baby fever, but after a while I started to agree with him and at that point felt like maybe I wasn't ready for another one quite yet either. So, I decided to go back to work and work on my career for a little bit, and planned to wait another 9-12 months before thinking of TTC again.

Flash forward to this month, I think I miscalculated when I O'd and didn't use any prevention, when we should have. Right after we were done, I got a message in my head saying...Oh, you just got pregnant (which I find bizzare). That was followed by a dream seeing a postive pg test, and now im 2 days late (i've been on time since I've had my LO). DH is hiding is concern of our finances, and i'm just apprehensive to take a test. So, I just keep waiting to get AF.

If I am, i'm scared of work finding out to soon, since I just started 2 months ago...it'll just be awkard. I hate having all of these worries about other people, when in reality i'll be thrilled if I am...and welcome the pregnancy with open arms. I just hope DH will be happy and my work won't think I was just using them for a job for 9 months.

DH will probably make me take a test tonight lol...but i'm hoping to put it off until Friday.

I understand why you would be apprehensive, but I could never go on wondering. I would need to know one way or the other, personally. The longer I put it off, the greater my anxiety would be.. Worrying about the finances and job and everything, when it may not be something to worry over at all. Whenever you test, I'm sure everything will work out. Good luck!
