I'm only 6 weeks but I'm EXTREMELY nauseous and tired. My doc said for me to stop taking the pnv and see if it gets any better... have any of your docs done this??
She also told me that I might be considered high risk and that I'll have to meet with them to find out if they will want to take me of if i can stay with them (reg OB) (I have a rare autoimmune disease)
I'm just kinda bummed about the whole appt.
Re: I was taken off my prenatals today ....
Target Chewable Prenatals are amazing! I do not get nausea from them at all! I take 2 Isagenix Women's Essentials every morning and 2 chewable Prenatals from Target mid afternoon.
I had no problem with Rainbow Light PNV. They have ginger in them which helps with nausea. The company is based out of Santa Cruz, CA....my hometown and you can find them in health food stores or over the net.

I wasn't able to take prenatals with my first pregnancy and haven't tried with this one. Instead, I take two Flinstone/Target gummies as well as 2 folic acid pills every night before I go to bed.
Plz take something...this time is vital for your babies growth. Folic acid is incredibly important and helps prevent a variety of issues with your LO.
If I had a rare autoimmune disease that might render me high risk, I would follow my doctor's instructions. None of us know how the ingredients in the vitamins might affect your disorder, so I wouldn't take advice from the internet for this. If you're concerned about this advice, call your doctor and get more information about how long they want you off the vitamins and what the plan is if they are making you sick. You can get the nutrition you need through a healthy diet, so I wouldn't worry too much about being off the vitamins in the short term.
this is what I've always heard - (IMHO), it's kind of odd that you were taken off of them completely. Either way - I hope you feel better soon!!
Are you taking them with food? If not, start!
When I started taking them a few years ago, I had nausea and dizziness everyday. I couldn't figure out why. I thought about what I had done differently at the beginning of all that and found it was the PNV. Ever since, I've been taking them with food as a doc recommended, and have no problems!
Doc also said that some of the vitamins don't get absorbed unless you take them with food. That was news to me!
Another boy on the way!
It's called Bechet's disease. I was DX at 11 with it
