    i just watched a few re-runs the other day. i dont quite get the idea-is the father just telling a really long story they turned into a series? i have to add it to netflix. so far i love it. ive seen the NYE limo party, the one with the 3 day fake party and the one he says i love you to the girl he just met.

    I did.  I also bawled.  Such a fantastic show.

    I also just put it together that his dad was played by the same guy who played the mentally disabled guy in Stephen Kings The Stand. M-O-O-N  That spells moon.

    The father is telling his kids how he met their mother. Except we have no idea who the father is. We get hints here and there, but it's very cryptic. You mostly forget about that part of the plot because you get so sucked into the rest.

    It's my #1 fav show. Love love love.

    I think the dad is Ted, but you don't know who the mother is. Over time, they give clues, but it's never made totally clear.

    The dad is Ted and when he is doing the narrating as the older Ted it's voiced by Bob Saget.

    The only reason why I still think it's Ted is because of the episode where he buys the run down house and says he's going to turn it into his dream house. At the end of that episode, he tells the kids that they are sitting in that house. I agree, though, they keep it very vague.

    I noticed it at 50, but Dh didn't notice it until I pointed it out at 9.

    Ahh I loved this show too.  One of my favorites. 

    Last night's episode was pretty good and yes I did get a little teary eyed at the  end.
