WTF?? I am in sleep hell

Background:  T has never been a good sleeper.  Never.  We did Ferber @ 11 months, which helped a lot.  Bedtime finally turned into a sweet time, of stories and then me rocking her down and no fighting once I laid her in her crib, she would just roll over and go to sleep.  She still wakes up at 4 or 5 but at least she's been sleeping and geting her to bed hasn't been a 90 minute ordeal or a fight like it used to be.

The past couple weeks have been a fricking nightmare.  Its like we're starting over!!  When I lay her down she rolls over and sits up and starts freaking out.  I've been laying her back down and rubbing her back for a couple minutes then kissing her and telling her it's night night time and leaving the room with the door cracked, like I always do.  Last night was the worst, it took AN HOUR to get her to sleep.  We don't let her cry longer than 10 minutes in between checks, especially if she's not settling down, so if she's crying that long and not calming down, one of us will go in to soothe and rub her back.  Letting her cry for 10 minutes is hard enough for me so letting her cry longer is not going to work for us... and she has all four of her molars.  Any suggestions about what else might be going on?  Major separation anxiety?  Canine teeth maybe?? Or???   TIA.

  • What about putting some toys in her crib to make it more of a fun place? Or try a nightlight in her room?  Just throwing ideas out there, sorry sleep was never our issue, hope things get better soon!

  • I just rock Adrian to sleep each night and put him down when he's fast asleep. I know it's not the best but it works for us right now. For a couple weeks I was putting him down while he was only drowsy and he would go to sleep on his own, but then he got sick and then we went on a trip and that got all screwed up. So we're back to rocking and holding him to sleep at night. I can't bear to hear him cry longer than 5 minutes, I could never wait 10. When he's sick it takes forever to put him to sleep for nap time but thankfully he's tired enough at night that he falls asleep within 20 minutes. Maybe you need to take LO out in the afternoon and tire her out more? When Adrian gets out a lot he sleeps great at night. I hope things get better for you!
