haha I know they don't relate at all but figured one post was easier!
DS currently goes to a Children's Hospital pediatrician in downtown B'ham and I'm just not happy. I feel that they ignore my concerns and just keep giving him the same meds over and over. He has had recurring diaper rashes and a recurring cold and they aren't trying to find the reason just treat the symptoms. What pediatrician do you recommend? We live just north of Gardendale but I don't mind driving to Hoover or 280 to get a good doctor.
Also I have lower back pain from carrying DS around (he's 36lbs) and I have been going to my mom's massage therapist in GA but I can't get there as often these days and I'd like to find someone local who is good.
Thanks!!
Re: B'ham reccomendations for pediatrician and massages
I live in Clay/Trussville, and drive to Greenvale Pediatrics on 280 because I honestly feel like they are the best. We use Dr. Glasgow, and he is amazing! I really can't say enough great things about him. They also have an office in Hoover and Alabaster. At the Hoover office, I would also highly recommend Dr. Cortopassi. I know there are several girls on here that use the Greenvale practice.

Can't help too much on the massage therapist. DH usually gets me gift certificates to the spa at the Summit and I have always had a great experience there.

Ditto to this-we love Greenvale!
I will say it's tough to recommend a spa in general...sometimes I've had both good & bad experiences at the same place because really it's the specific masseure (sp?) that makes the difference. I even had a year's membership at Massage Envy {you have 1 massage a month} and it was a mixed bag, but the very best massage I've ever had was from a guy there {can't find his card right now} but he did a hot stone massage out of the Greystone/Lee Branch spa.
The Baby Blog.
We use Dr. Glasgow at Greenvale peds 280. He is awesome his nurses are awesome and they always listen to my concerns. The answer any question I have, and they do not mind that I call for the smallest things. And they "handle" my preemie mom nerves very well.
As for a massage Infinity Medi-Spa in Greystone has a great massage therapist.
