Help....I'm so at a loss and don't know what the next step is.
I've been ttc sincethe end if of March. We've tried everything I can think of ie; prenatals, checking cm, temps, ov strips, ov monitor for the past two monthsm preseed, yoga...I even got my hormines checked as my cycles were irregular and long it came back that I do indeed ov. SO what am I missing or need to do? We have sex 3 times a wk and do every day if not every other the days b4 ov during and after. It is hard not to lose hope.
Re: i feel dumb....help please
You may want to look into making an appt with an RE (reproductive endocrinologist) who can do more extensive testing. Some RE's won't see patients until they have been TTC for 12 months, but if you are having irregular cycles they might be more willing to see you earlier - I would make sure to mention it.
Best of luck!
First of all, welcome to the board.
Second, it can take a healthy couple with perfect timing 12 months to get pregnant. I know that is a frustrating statistic and doesn't make you feel a lot better, but it is what it is. I cannot tell you how many 8 to 12 month BFPs I've seen on these boards.
You are doing everything you can be doing now if you are charting and timing sex. If you want and your insurance will cover it (or if you want to pay out of pocket), I think it would perfectly okay to go ahead and get your DH an SA scheduled. At the year mark, talk to your doctor about starting testing for you.
Third, be patient. I know that is easier said than done--trust me, all the ladies on this board will attest to that. There is no magic pill. There are steps and right now you are doing the steps you should be doing at this point in your journey.
Pretty much what the other ladies posted. However I do have to ask if you DH has been tested? If not, he should get an SA (semen analysis) done. It could be a problem with motility/morphology/or count.
It looks like you are doing everything right, and if you are ovulating and have a good LP length, then just keep trying until you get to the year mark and talk to your OB and/or get an appointment with an RE. Good luck!
