2nd time moms - anyone measured ahead?

I had a Level II u/s with the Maternal Fetal Med Dr. and the u/s said baby is measuring in the 91st percentile. Baby is measuring at 4.5 lbs. right now. The u/s is supposed to have a +/-2 ounce variance.

At my regular OBGYN appt. my Dr. measured me to be around 35 weeks and I am only 32 weeks.

I am a petite person and have a very short torso, so needless to say...this big baby makes it hard to breathe, etc.

Did you measure ahead and if so, was it pretty accurate?

I was measuring 2 wks ahead since 28 wks and the ultrasound confirmed that he was still measuring 2 wks ahead.... any day now my little man will be here best of luck to you.....

I've measured big for three weeks now. I'm only 28.5 weeks.... They said my baby is about 3 lbs now... which i think is large. But it makes sense, because I'm measuring ahead by a bit, and all.

I think it's pretty normal for 2nd+ moms to measure ahead. It's typical for those babies to be a little larger than your first, but I wouldn't think it means your EDD is different or sooner.....

I'm measuring 1-2 weeks ahead with this one.

The first time around I always measured 2 weeks ahead and she ended up coming 10 days early and weighed 6lbs 6oz.

DS measured 1-2 weeks ahead my whole pregnancy and he was born a day shy of 41w at 8 lb. 2 oz., so not terribly big at all.

I had a growth ultrasound at 32 weeks and he was in the 91st percentile, a couple weeks ahead. They had me come back today for a follow up to see if he seemed to be getting super big, and he was not - he's only in the 70-ish percentile for most measurements now. The perinatologist told me he probably just had a big growth spurt before the lasst one, growth isn't always a smooth curve. Try not to stress too much, these measurements aren't always accurate.

At my last appt I was measuring about 1 week ahead. I wasn't completely sure on my due date though...so that might be a few days off too. My doctor didn't seem too worried about it - he did say we would check and see where I was at during my next appt though (which is on Thursday). So we shall see what happens!

I just had an ultrasound with my peri this morning to check on the placenta. All is good with that, but now I'm being watched because baby boy is measuring 2 weeks ahead and is in the 98th percentile. I got the results from my one hour glucose this afternoon and was absolutely shocked that I passed.

I was sent for an ultrasound at 32 weeks because I had been measuring 4-5 weeks ahead for four appointments. The baby is in the 98th percentile and was estimated to be 5 lbs 13 oz. My midwife said he is just on the large end of the growth spectrum but that he is perfectly healthy as far as they can tell. They aren't expecting him to arrive any earlier because of his size and it doesn't change my due date. Just a big boy!
