I honestly could care less if someone lets their LO watch tv. Juliana loves the wonder pets at 6. It is how she winds down before bedtime. Flame if you want, she is just fine.

I feel ya.
Eli doesn't watch T.V. at my house, but he does play with his toys while H and I watch our show for the night. It's really no concern of mine if someone else lets their child watch T.V.
I'm not against TV watching at all, we have the TV on alot and DS loves his Yo Gabba Gabba time.. BUT the fact that she is trying to get her 8/9 mo to like a certain show (most likely for babysitting her child) is crazy! Also I don't watch shows like the Simpsons and Family Guy (although DH and I watch them) with my LO's.... it's not exactly child material
I don't care if people let their LO's watch tv either - I just think it is odd that she says she is trying to get him into watching tv shows. We have the tv on, sometimes LO watches it, but most of the time he ignores it. But is not like I'm gonna force him to watch Elmo or try to get him hooked on Sesame Street. KWIM?
lol. Nothing against tv watching, but it seems like she is trying to ask what to do to get her 8/9 month old to be into watching tv shows. That's all.
We have the tv on a lot, but we don't put on shows specifically for LO to watch. If it catches his attention, then fine. But he really isn't that into it to warrant sitting him in front of the tv for a certain show. Maybe if he showed interest I would let him watch something while I got dinner ready or vacumed or something, but other than that I don't see the point.

Parents who let they're kids watch TV are lazy. Get off your ass and play with your kid!
*their
Perhaps you should get off your ass, get off the bump, and read a book.
Oh, and my tv-watching child, who is now 7 years old, would've known to use the proper word in your sentence. He also enjoys reading and tennis. I highly doubt the parents allowing their children to watch tv let them sit in front of it all day. A show or two isn't going to impair them.
Our first baby girl, Lucia Joy, joined us on April 1, 2010!
