First AF After BFing???

So I didnt have AF visit the entire time that I was BFing. I noticed that my supply was dropping so we supplemented more and more. Well first visit from AF started the day before Thanksgiving....and hasn't gone away since. Yes that it right....been here for 41 days and going strong. I started BC at day 5 and am wondering if the low dose BC could be the reason for the long period. Anyone ever experience this.? I decided that I was going to stop the BC till my hormones got in check.

Any ideas?

    41 days of bleeding would constitute a call to my dr IMHO. I did have a few long periods, and have also had a few long cycles but 41 days of bleeding seems like a lot to me, and so I would call.

     I agree. That sounds like too long of cycle considering that you're also on BCP.

    Thanks for the advice. Maybe I will call and speak with the nurse. The big problem is that I do not have any health insurance anymore so I cannot really go "in" to see the OB. But I will call.
