Alright kiddos, I'm taking name opinions

So, after much debate/discussion DH and I have decided to go with our original boy name for baby A even though it has become very popular.  It's my great-grandfather's name and we both love it, so Baby A is going to be Noah Allen.

After discussing one zillion names, we like the following:

Owen

Elijah (Eli)

Isaac

Wyatt (I know some of you hate that one)

We are pretty sure the middle name is going to be Henry.  So, which do you guys like?  I know they're all fairly popular, but I've decided I don't care that much.  Which sounds best with Henry and as a twin name with Noah?

  • I've been loving the name Owen lately so thats my choice out of the three but they are all great names

  • I'd lean toward a second old testament name to "go" without being matchy. Either Eli or Isaac.
  • I like all of your names... typically I would say Owen would be my favorite from your list... but for me, Noah and Owen sound very similar with the /o/ sound. SO I would pick Elijah Henry (nn Eli) as my favorite! :)
  • I think my first choice would be Elijah (nn Eli) - I LOVE that name. But I'm also a big fan of Owen. Both sound good with Henry.

  • I like Owen, but not with Noah.  I think my first pick would be Isaac.  I like Elijah but I wouldn't like having one twin name be shortened and not the other.

  • I love Owen followed by Eli(jah).

Just a thought, say Noah and Owen (you know, when you want to call them down to leave, when they're being naughty, when you want to call them lovingly) out loud and see how that rolls... Because I'm getting the I have a banana stuck in my mouth feel when I say that out loud!

    But good choices!

  • I really like Isaac Henry along with Noah.  I think Owen and Noah run together a little bit so I would rule that name out based on that alone.  I like Elijah as well, but I just think Isaac Henry is such a strong and masculine name it's my favorite.

  • I love Wyatt!

Elijah is too popular, IMO (or was a couple of years ago).

  • I like Isaac the best.  I also think, like PPs, that Owen and Noah are a little too much alike with the O sound.

  • I like Owen the best, but as others have said, they do sound a lot alike.  My second favorite is Elijah.  Really, I don't think you could wrong with any of the names...they are all good names!

  • I think Noah and Owen are too close sounding.

    I like Eli then Isaac.

  • I like Owen and Wyatt.  Isaac and Eli(jah) are a little too religious/ethnic to match well with Henry.  Owen and Noah sound very nice together.

    I love Wyatt!

It's so weird how these things seem to be geographical or something.  I know two baby boys name Wyatt and absolutely no Elijah's.

Eli is definitely my favorite of the bunch!

  • I love Baby A's name - LOVE!

I thikn Owen sounds too much like Noah, but I like Owen Henry.

My favorite of all of them is Isaac Henry.

But, I have learned this in the past few weeks - EVERYONE has an opinion and they will tell you up front what  you should name your kids and what they don't like.  Ultimately, DH and I have decided that we're going to go with what we like and not pay much attention to everyone's opinion.

  • I'm going to have to say Owen because that's the name we picked. I love Wyatt as well.

  • Considering that you will probably be saying the twins names together, consider that although Owen is adorable, Saying Owen, Noah or Noah, Owen together kinda become a tongue twister.

They are all lovely names and would be great.  I do like Elijah with the nickname Eli.

  • I love Elijah or Eli but I think that's mostly because had our LO been a boy, we would have named him that.

Close seconds are Isaac and Owen.  I agree with pp that Owen and Noah roll into each other when you say them together.  I have twin brothers and I have to say that I do say their names together, A LOT.  Most of the time, when they get in trouble, they get in trouble together. Stick out tongue

PS you are lucky.  I love Noah and my DH hates it :)

  • I like Wyatt. But as that's the boy name we have picked out (and have since before we were TTC) I'm probably considered biased.

  • I'm torn. I love Noah (DH hates it), and DH loves Isaac, but it's NMS. Trying to be objective Noah Allen (love) and Isaac Henry work best together. Both old testament, and sound nice together. I like Owen, but do not think Owen and Noah sound good together. My mouth is working too hard with that combo. Noah and Elijah makes my mouth work a little too ;)

  • I love Noah Allen ... and I love Henry. But I don't like your other first name choices.

    May I suggest: Ezra Henry
    Evan Henry
    Liam Henry
    Adam Henry

I'd stick with another four letter boy name, but I'm weird like that ;)

This is exactly what I was thinking.

  • I think Isaac Henry sounds perfect, and paired with Noah Allen you'd have a nice balance of classic names.
  • ds#1 is Owen Henry....so thats my choice!

    This!

  • I like Elijah the best but my cousin's son is named Elias. A unique variation if you are concerned about the popularity of Elijah.
