The Dr. suggested that I get some probiotics for my DD to help with reoccuring diarrhea from a bout of the stomach flu. He said yogurt or a supplement. All I really know of is like Activia. Any suggestions? I'm thinking yogurt would be the best, but I'm not sure if they make special ones for kids.
Re: probiotics question
I think probiotics are wonderful! We used Culturelle (supplement in powder form) for DD when she was an infant--we just put it in her milk once a day. It always kept her regular and I believe it helped her with her reflux, which is why pedi recommended it.
Now, we give her yogurt in pouches that they sell at Whole Foods. I can't remember the brand name but it's the only kind that is sold in pouches so you can't miss it, if you shop at Whole Foods.

Our Pedi recomended this in addition to yogurt and said it was a better sourse than relying on yogurt and we add it to his milk whenever he is on Antibiotics. Works Great. Had to ask our CVS to order the for kids one they only had the adult instore but they had it the next day.
