FU to Gas-Like Cramping 2 days post D&C IMPT!

I had been having a lot of gas-like pains since my D&C on Thurdays- Saturday night it was so bad I was doubled over in pain, but I just figured it was gas and I'd get through it. Yesterday morning I called my OB who said if the pain got worse or I began running a fever I should call him and then we'd meet at the ER. By late afternoon I was still feeling the pains and they were getting a bit worse... I had been debating all day about going (I would have felt SO bad to waste everyone's time if it was just gas!) but finally told my DH that we needed to go... GREAT IDEA! Turns out I had a 7 cm bloodclot in my uterus that needed to be removed ASAP. I hadn't been bleeding a lot the past few days but didn't think to have any concern. My uterus was huge because of the clot which was causing the pain, but my body was trying to expell it but my cervix wasn't nearly big enough. I ended up having to have a 2nd D&C to remove the clot and am feeling 100% better today.

Wow, that sounds scary what you went through. I had a D&C last Tuesday and from Tuesday-Saturday morning I had barely any bleeding. Then Saturday afternoon until now the bleeding seems to be getting worse. The cramping is tolerable but this morning I passed some bloody tissue (sorry TMI). Is that normal almost a week after a D&C? I have no idea what to expect. I go back to the dr. Wed. so I will ask her then if I am still bleeding because she told me I should bleed for 3-7 days (lightly). I was hoping the bleeding would be done by now.

Omg Lauren!! I thought by now your pains had subsided. I'm sooo sorry you had to go through this twice. In glad to hear you're feeling much better though! Just rest and relax today. You deserve it.
